When in Venice I have great pleasure in scouring the Maskshops for those special pieces to sell in my little bottega in the restaurant or to fufill commissions from friends and clients who have not been so fortunate as to have had the opportunity to  visit this grand old city.

One of my favourite destinations for this purpose is the little shop of Alberto Sarria here pictured which like many others in the city is jam packed with masks and other treasures just waiting to be discovered if you can mange to squeeze your way in.

I have been lucky enough to visit his establishment two years running so have acquired quite a selection of his masks although not having travelled to Italy during this year the number available for sale is now well diminished but those remaining are featured here for fellow mask afficianados who wish to add to their collections.

As my range of delectables has extended from not just the Panettones which we started to buying for our customers celebratory pleasures in the early years of the restaurant but now to also include many delicacies from other parts of the world I have also been adding other non gustatory items among which my hope one day is to include some of these delightful creatures to really make my very eclectic range truely the place to discover the unique and inimitable items which make great gifts for oneself or for gifting to others.
